Daniel and Mikayla came to Burlington for their engagement session and despite the chilly temperatures, we managed to get that warm and fuzzy feeling while we strolled through town and enjoyed the historic buildings and brick walkways. If you know me, you know how much I love the history of our little town. Poor Daniel and Mikayla had to listen to a history lesson during their photo shoot, haha.
The conversation wasn't just about history (thank goodness for them!) I loved hearing about how they met and their early dates at the roller rink. Despite my requests, neither of them would show me their skate dance moves, but we definitely had some laughs about it.
I love finding cute doorways in town. Thank you to the neighbor with the nice red door!
After a bit we headed to my favorite coffee shop, Evermore Coffee Roasters, right on Union Street in Burlington City. We all warmed up with some coffee and these two got a bit of snuggling in between sips. If you get a chance to visit Evermore, I highly recommend the oat milk latte. Unless they happen to have Fire and Rice on the menu, in that case, definitely try that one! I don't know exactly what Daniel & Mikayla had in their cups, but whatever it was led to some serious canoodling.
Aren't they the cutest?
I have to mention the one big bonus for coming to Burlington for their engagement session! We were also able to sneak in a few shots in the studio. On a cold day, this was a very welcome opportunity. These guys were troopers but sometimes you just want to stay inside, so starting or ending your session at the studio is never a bad idea.
I know these two are going to have a beautiful wedding. I also know they can't wait, and neither can I! Congratulations Mikayla & Daniel, I'll see you really soon!
