Hello friends! There is a lot going on in the world right now, am I right? Everyone is anxious about the CoronaVirus, people are hoarding toilet paper and hand sanitizer, we're worrying about our friends, family and ourselves while we strive to stay free from germs and keep ourselves in social isolation. And yes, the KIDS are home from school.
Our studio is taking a break from in person sessions for a little while as we try to contain this virus, but I still felt drawn to do something for the kids in our circle. All my models, clients, friends - I can't do very much but I thought of something fun that I CAN do to help. While we are staying apart, how about a photo challenge / class for the kids? With a prize at the end for everyone who participates? Would you like to join us??
Here are the details! We'll start our group on Facebook - I will post simple photo tips and daily challenges - I'm hoping for each day but it may be a few times a week. I'll post my own photos in the group and will share some of your entries on my main Photography page. Kids can use a phone or simple digital camera. Everyone who participates in at least 80% of the challenges will be invited to a special photo challenge "graduation" party when the CoronaVirus drama is over. Graduates will receive a 10 minute session and one FREE 5x7 from the Graduation party. I was hoping to keep this a free program, but in order to keep track of everyone, I needed to use our online shopping cart, so there is a minimal $1 fee for each participant. Here's the link to join:
Once you pay for you spot, I will add you to the private Facebook group for challenge members. I can't wait to see what we create together! Please invite your friends & family. If you have friends from out of state, they can also take part - it will be fun even for those who can't attend the "graduation." The goal is for us to have something to at home right now, and something to look forward to when the CoronaVirus lockdown is over. I hope to see you all in our group!!
Stay safe, wash your hands, and I'll see you online!
