Baby Aaron turned one and his parents wanted to be sure to capture his incredible cuteness before he got any bigger. Those baby cheeks, tiny toes, those swaying first steps and oh my goodness, his curls! Toddlers are just perfect, aren't they?
Due to the current pandemic, mom and I had our consultation on the phone and planned out the session details. We used one of my exclusive "semi-secret" locations so we could avoid crowds and mom brought along the tent and the cake. I supplied some small props (all sanitized before and after use) and we had one of the cutest socially distanced sessions ever. It was no problem at all getting gorgeous shots of baby Aaron from a distance. The hardest part was for me to back away fast enough when he gave up walking and started crawling through the grass. Little man can MOVE when he crawls!! How do babies do that?
With a little help from mom, dad, grandma and two amazing big sisters, we got some gorgeous shots of baby Aaron enjoying his time in the clover field, trying out his cake and then taking a little dip in the tub. He had a wonderful time exploring nature while I just documented the beautiful moments. His parents will have these memories to treasure forever.
Look at those toes.
Bringing older siblings (or other helpful family members) along during social distance sessions is a great idea! I normally have hands on assistants when working with toddlers but right now that is not the safest option. These girls were such great helpers, they deserved their own model moment when we were all done. Check out our behind the scenes look at baby Aaron staying safe in the tub with his sisters, and then their gorgeous portraits.
