When Melissa contacted me about covering her wedding at the Historic Mount Holly Courthouse, I was thrilled. I love small, family oriented weddings and the historic courthouse is an amazing place to start a new chapter of life together, so cozy and intimate .
As the family arrived, I could tell this was going to be a fun group. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone was smiling and excited to be there.
Melissa arrived with her makeup perfectly done by Christine Swope Makeup. A few finishing touches, a little clowning around and it was time for the wedding to begin.
While the guys waited with their guests in the courthouse, Melissa made some time for kisses with the cutest flower girl ever.
Here comes the bride, escorted by dad
The ceremony was informal but emotional, with smiles, tears and laughter. The whole family stood together as the judge pronounced them husband and wife.
After the wedding we had a little bit of time for portraits on the courthouse steps.
One thing I love about a small wedding - you can get a shot with every single wedding guest!
And they're usually ready to give a good cheer! How about Pop Pop with that wave? Isn't he the cutest?
Historic Mount Holly provides such a perfect backdrop for photos.
And even though there was snow on the ground, Melissa's radiant smile lit up the day and made everything look like springtime.
How happy do they look? Those smiles say it all.
And then off to the Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar in Moorestown, where we snuck in a few more pictures and ate some delicious food.
The night ended with some delicious desserts and a rousing game of "spin the baby toy"
Congratulations Melissa and Andy - your day was beautiful and perfect and I loved being there with you. We wish you so much joy in your new life together!
