Alstede Farms & Hacklebarney State Park ~ Emily & Justin's Wedding Slideshow

October 14, 2016  •  1 Comment

What is there really to say about a wedding that includes my favorite state park, a bride and groom willing to pretty much hike through the woods for photos and then a reception at a beautiful farm?  Actually, quite a lot!

Working with Justin and Emily on their wedding day was so much fun.  Our day started with Emily's family as she prepared herself for the fun ahead.  After a lovely ceremony, the bridal party left for photos at Hacklebarney State Park in Long Valley, NJ.  In a park full of families and hikers, our group definitely stood out!  This bridal party was ready for the challenge tho, and I had to chuckle thinking of how many hikers would be going home and saying, "You'll never guess what we saw at the park today!"  Up stairs and hills and down winding mountain paths ... they did it all, some of them in VERY high heels!

Then the three magic words every hungry photographer loves to hear from the bride .... "Let's get fries."  A quick stop at Wendy's for some burgers and fries made everyone happy, and then it was time for the reception at Alstede Farms in Chester.  The corn, the horses, the sunset and all the special details were made even better by the music of DJ David Perez, who kept the party going into the night.  And did I mention the bonfire with the s'mores?  Because yeah, they had that.

An amazing day and night full of fun and laughter, food and friendship, and so much love.  Thank you for including me in the festivities!  For a peek into the adventure, enjoy the slideshow below.  Just a hint, if you want to make the slideshow full screen, just hover over the bottom right and you'll see a little box you can click to do just that.  To see the slideshow with music, you need to be on a computer, for some reason my web host doesn't play the music when viewing on tablets and phones - you can see the pictures that way, but it's more fun with the music.  Enjoy!

Wendy, these are great photos. Emily is my grand-daughter and I love her very much. It was a wonderful wedding.
